Explore the ways self-worth and resilience are connected, and tools teachers can use to help students develop self-worth and resilience in the classroom. This workshop focuses on self-awareness and self-management skills.

Many times our society thinks of resilience as something that just happens to a person, but resilience is a skill. It can be taught and teachers can help students build this skill. Building resilience is a journey that takes practice. Trauma isn’t a prerequisite for resilience or building resilience.

This workshop focuses on how self-awareness and self-management skills can help students develop resilience by focusing on self-worth and finding purpose in one’s life. Teachers learn SEL strategies and tools to support students development of resilience through these ideas and competencies.
